Gold Rings

A dexterous burglar has stolen around £100,000 worth of gold and diamond jewelry in a raid on a house in south London. The “irreplaceable” jewelry, stolen in Lambeth, contained 30 sets of necklaces encrusted with gem stones, gold rings and bracelets. All of these items were 22-carat gold. Police have stated they believe the thief to be experienced as they managed to maneuver their way across the side of the house before entering through a first-floor window. Detective Constable Michael Cotton stressed the sentimental value of the stolen objects to the family in question: “The family are absolutely devastated. There was a large number of items, all handed down from generation to generation and irreplaceable. Whoever pulled this off was probably an experienced thief. I would appeal to anyone who has any information on him, or has been offered any similar jewelry, to come forward.”
Anybody with any information relating to the raid has been urged by police to get in touch with them immediately and as part of the investigation, they are calling in on Asian gem stores in the area of the robbery as the thief could have sold their valuable gold loot. London saw another significant gold robbery on October 19th when an oriental jeweler fell victim to a thief, stealing around £265,000 worth of gold rings from him at Euston station.
